Real estate agencies using Rello's payment & finance services can send their customers (you - vendors, tenants, landlords, etc) "payment requests" via email and SMS, either from the Rello platform or directly from their systems.

Payment requests will state:

  1. An amount of money being requested from you, to pay to the agency

  2. Payment options relevant to the transaction - card payments, EFT/PayID, or other finance options (typically invoice factoring)

  3. The sender (name & contact details of a person and/or their agency - if they've chosen to add these)

  4. Any supporting information or documents

Follow the link provided to view a secure webpage, review your payment options and proceed to make the payment to the agency (via Rello).

Is the link legit?

Links from Rello look like this:

  1. They are always secured via "https"

  2. They always start with "app.rellopay.co/payments"

  3. They only contain a single set of digits/numbers afterwards (this is a unique ID for your payment request)

Rello always presents the full link in emails and SMS - it's not hidden behind a button or other icon.

Check the links on any email/SMS you receive and make sure you're confident it's legit before proceeding.

If you're not sure about an email or SMS you're received from Rello, forward it to [email protected] or call us on 1300 815 923 to confirm the details you've received.

What payment options are available to me?

Depending on the nature of the transaction, different options will be available to you - typically these will include card payments, EFT/PayID and a finance option.

Card payments

Pay by credit/debit card for a small fee - the card surcharge rate, and the final amount due, will be displayed on the payment page for you to accept before proceeding.

EFT/PayID

Pay via electronic funds transfer (or bank transfer) using the BSB/account number provided, or use the PayID for real-time payments via Osko.

Most banks in Australia support these options, and Rello recommends PayID - you can verify the details provided easily in within your online banking portal, and you'll see the payment confirmed in real-time (EFT payments can sometimes take a day or so to be received, depending on your bank).

Paying via EFT/PayID is a free service to you.

Rello operates secure accounts that support EFT and PayID, for real estate agencies - any funds sent to these accounts is securely routed to the agency directly.

Finance options

Depending on the transaction, you may be offered a finance product via Rello to help make your payment. The payment page will guide you through this process, which typically includes:

  1. Verify data provided by the agent (e.g. information about your property)

  2. Update/provide data required by Rello (e.g. a copy of a document)

  3. Verify your mobile number and email address

  4. Verify your identity

  5. Provide a payment method (e.g. card or bank account to direct debit) to enable repayments

  6. Accepting terms & conditions

What happens after I've made a payment?
